Unfortunately no longer an insider tip, despite or precisely because of this very good. Whoever has to complain about here belongs deeper in the forest. Quality is right, so is the price. Ambience and staff absolutely child-friendly. The Ziegelrodaer Forest offers the opportunity to exercise sufficiently after the meal. Go there, or drive (goes almost to the door).

Very nice inn in the middle of the forest. The Hermannseck is always worth a trip 😍 About the restaurant itself: very nice staff ... The food was very tasty and well presented. They are also well positioned there with regard to allergens and GLUTEN-FREE was not a problem. Only the prices are a little too high in my opinion. Certainly not unusual nowadays ... But it felt like it should have been 1 or 2 euros less per dish.

Despite our reservation outside, we were seated in the last corner - asking was useless. After 1/2 hour we got drinks and after we didn't get our food after 1 1/4 hours we left. Conclusion: not again

Great for a quiet getaway. You can park your car in the parking lot on the country road, or drive into the forest and park directly at the Jägerhütte Also ideal to reach by bike.

A few years ago the insider tip (p) ... meanwhile an outdated hut with completely overpriced prices and unfriendly / bored staff. The outdoor area (parking lot, "playground", seating) also looks antiquated. Conclusion: Even for Ostalgiefans strong tobacco!

We were very tasty on Saturday. A nice cozy atmosphere, everyone was very friendly and in general everything was very familiar. The portions were very good, nicely decorated and plentiful. Have a nice meal in everything.

I have to praise the entrepreneurial thinking of the restaurant, which could also provide us with an appointment at short notice. The portions were reasonably good and the taste left nothing to be desired. We had a nice evening and would love to come back. Thank you very much

Very nice friendly service even if you spontaneously with 7 people. Pleasant environment in the middle of the forest with adjoining animal enclosure. Price performance is good and you get full.

The Jägerhütte - I was here as a child almost four decades ago. Back then with a kiosk. In the past few years we have visited this rustic-looking establishment and have always been satisfied. The menu selection is more than sufficient, the prices very moderate and the portions perfectly okay. The staff is very friendly and relaxed. That definitely lifts the mood. As far as the palatability is concerned - the host probably can't please anyone here. There are always guests who have something to complain about, even if there is apparently no reason for it. We ourselves have absolutely no reason to complain, our dishes were tasty and hearty enough. And finally, if necessary, you can add pepper & salt "free of charge". I saw today that part of the Arial is currently under renovation. So what? No! The hunter's hut itself is logically getting on in years and it always needs some repairs. However, the operator must also be able to spend the necessary time. "Little by little" I always say. So I think that some complaining guests should show more understanding here. You can't just complain all the time. Our visit today, to dine comfortably outside in the sunshine, was once again wonderful and very pleasant - despite the mini construction site. It should be mentioned that no card payment is possible here, so only cash payment. ... I read that guests complained about the lack of internet ?! I ask myself: is it still possible? Is there nothing more important than using the internet while "eating out"? Dear society, I appeal to your understanding! In addition, there will almost never be internet access there, because fiber optic cables will definitely not be laid in an upland moor area. In this respect, a quick card payment would not work. The rustic and cozy Jägerhütte is always worth a visit. It is best to call in advance and make a reservation if necessary. Always a great recommendation from us. Don't let up and please keep it up!

The Jägerhütte is in a great location. We came over on a bike tour and wanted to take a bite to eat. I recommend offering small dishes for fast traffic that do not necessarily produce garbage that could be left in the forest. Since this offer was missing, we only bought a drink at a moderate price. I can only say something about the food visually. The portions were quite large and looked appetizing. Prices were okay according to the map. Uric, how a hunter's hut can be calm. The staff was not necessarily my case but also not rude. I think it's a shame that the area around it would have more potential, e.g. again a zoo etc ... But the gastronomic facility can only do something to a certain extent!

We were guests in June 2016 and last on 09.05.17 in this hospitable house, which lives up to its name and claim as a game restaurant. The dishes we ate were all fresh, tasted very aromatic and harmoniously arranged. In connection with the competent and friendly staff, as well as the well-kept ambience of the inn and its surroundings inviting for walks, we can recommend this location at any time. All the less we can understand "recessions" of so-called guests who want to break this gem. Well: there are envious people everywhere! We would love to come back. To do this, we are happy to accept a detour of 100 km on our way via the Dike Autpbahn. See you again soon!
